The package starts after picking up the guests from the airport. Firstly, at the airport at the arrival desk, you will be met by our driver/guide and then head towards the hotel. After reaching the hotel you will have free time to relax and save energy for tomorrow’s tour. On the second day, the guide will pick you up from the hotel at 10:00 and start the city tour which will last 5-6 hours. At the end of the tour, the guide will drop you off at the hotel.

On Day 3 you will have a long way Gabala tour which lasts 11-12 hours. The tour starts after you are picked up from the hotel at 09:00 by the guide. After visiting Gabala you will be back at Baku probably at 20:00 and be dropped at the hotel.

On your last day 2 hours before your flight time, the guide will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the airport.

The Gabala tour is a full-day trip and starts at 9 am. In this tour, you will see one of the most ancient and beautiful cities in Azerbaijan –Gabala, which was the capital of Caucasian Albania for 600 years. Archeological evidence indicates that the city functioned as the capital of Caucasian Albania as early as the 4th century BC. Gabala city located on the northwest side of Azerbaijan and is considered one of the rainy cities of the country. The city is considered one of the top tourist destinations sights of the country and every year attracts a lot of guests from different countries.

Gabala is situated about 210 km in distance from Baku and it takes 3-3.5 hours to reach there by car. This tour is perfect for travelers who tend to discover the beauty of the Caucasian mountains, take a fresh mountain air, and explore the beauty of nature. During this tour, besides the Gabala city, you will also have a chance to visit some historical places on the way (Juma Mosque and Diri Baba mausoleum) which are located in Shamakhi city.

Juma Mosque, Shamaxi

Juma Mosque of Shamakhi or Friday Mosque of Shamakhi is a mosque in the city of Shamakhi, Azerbaijan. The construction date of the mosque is dated from the governance period of Caliphate’s vicar in the Caucasus and Dagestan, Arabic commander Maslam ibn Abd-al Melik, brother of Umayyad caliph Vail I (705-715), by whom Shamakhi was chosen as the residence. In these years Arab governors, strengthening the towers of this ancient city with the rich cultural heritage, began the construction of new structures in its territory. Arabs attached great importance to Shamakhi, which is visible from the great architectural appearance of the Friday Mosque.

Nohurgol Lake, Gabala

Eye-catching Lake Nohur with its magnificent view of the Caucasus Mountains, fresh air, and water is one of the most picturesque places of Gabala. The visitors are amazed by the beauty of Lake Nohur. The quiet atmosphere and bird sounds create an ideal relaxation environment to escape from the noise of the city. Although swimming in the lake is prohibited (the lake is also used as a reservoir and provides drinking water for Gabala and surrounding regions), it is a perfect place for fishing. And You can also take a boat and catamaran ride and enjoy the surrounding landscape.

Stop at Gabala Forest

On the way back to Baku we will have a stop at Gabala forest to rest for a while and so you can get fresh mountain air and take tea, coffee, or just to try Azeri local fast food prepared on the road by local women.

Tufandag Winter & Summer Resort

The last point of our Gabala Tour will be the Tufandag ski resort– Whether for skiing or just for memorable summer views of the Alpine scenery behind Gabala, jump aboard the Tufandag network of four cable cars.

There you can try skiing, the cable car that takes you from down to the top of the mountain to see the spectacular beauty of the mountain and city of this region.

At the end of the Gabala tour, you will be transferred to Baku and dropped off at the hotel.

Red Village (Jewish Settlement Area)

The last destination of the Guba Tour is a Red Village which has a population of 3,598 and is believed to be the world’s only all-Jewish town outside Israel and the United States.

The village is located across the Qudiyalçay River (or Kudyal River) from the larger town of Quba. It is the primary settlement of Azerbaijan’s population of highland or Mountain Jews who make up the population of approximately 4,000. The most widely spoken language in Qırmızı Qəsəbə is Juhuri. The formal creation of Krasnaya Sloboda (Red Village) is traced back to the 18th century. In 1742 the Khan of Quba, Fatali Khan, permitted the Jews to set up a community free of persecution across the river from the city of Quba.

During the Soviet time, the number of people in the village was around 16,000. After the independence of Azerbaijan, most of the population moved to Russia and Israel. Red Village is full of Villas and expensive buildings as well as Synagogues and a Jewish school.

Chanlibel Lake

Chanlibel Lake is located 14 kilometers from the center of Guba city, around the village of Second Nugadi, in an area surrounded by forests. The lake was created in 1969 (in other sources in the 1950s) for irrigation. He is often compared to Goygol.
The depth of Chenlibel Lake is 10-15 meters. The lake is fed by spring waters. Since the water of the lake is sweet, it freezes in frosty weather, and the thickness of the ice cover reaches 10 centimeters. The water of Çanlibel is like ice in hot weather. For this reason, swimming in the lake is dangerous.
Boating on the lake, horse riding around the lake, restaurants, and other services are available for people visiting here.
